Working moms have a lot to juggle. Because after incoming producing work is done, the real job begins. Dinners have to be made. Homework has to be done. And often, the last thing you’re thinking about is cleaning.

get help as much as possible

You may not have thought about it, but you can outsource some of the cleaning tasks. A robot vacuum can help keep the floor cleaned regularly. Automatic shower cleaners might also come in handy. You can schedule most dishwashers to come on at a later time and setting specific laundry days can help you maintain your sanity. Hire a neighborhood teenager to cut your grass. There are many things that can be automated or delegated. Take advantage of them. Not only will you take a few things off your own plate but you’ll free up time for other things as simple as cleaning something else or spending time with the kids.

As soon as they’re able to start walking, start teaching your kids to clean up after themselves. Create designated areas throughout your home for their things. The right storage option will maximize your living and playing spaces. And making sure things are easy to put away in these will cut down on your cleaning time.

At a minimum, it’ll make a room look more spacious. Clutter and chaos can evoke feelings of overwhelm and stress.  Having adequate storage, from bookshelves to toy bins, and teaching your kids to help put away their things, will negate all of this.
