When taking a flight the safety announcement always reminds us that in the event of a loss in cabin pressure you should attend to your own mask first before helping anyone else.  The same applies to real life.

If you’re always depleted or exhausted, you won’t be able to support anyone else. You’ll actually end up feeling overwhelmed and resentful. This is why it’s so important for you to make time for yourself. You’re no good to anyone else if you’re constantly running on empty.

Taking time for you doesn’t mean always include grooming or maintenance. Don’t confuse a rushed mani/pedi on as special ‘me time’. Instead, think outside the box.
