Before we were able to use file-sharing services like Google Drive or Dropbox, we’d have to email each file that we wanted to share. If you worked in a creative industry this was especially annoying because most email providers have a file size limit for attachments. In that unfortunate case, we’d have to resort to using flash drives or configure FTP upload services for our website. Using a file-sharing service allows you to share actual folders and files that reside on your computer. When you revise or update a file, it updates instantly.

Text Messaging

We do a lot on our mobile phones. Texting is only one of the many functions of our cell phones but it can be very impactful to your next marketing campaign. Try adding a section for cell phones to your (opt-in) landing pages. This way you gain the permission of your email list to text them – be sure you have permission!

Once you have their information you will need to choose your preferred service provider for texting. There are several companies that offer business texting packages. This software is one of many that are available to assist in communicating by text for business use.

Video conferencing

Whether you’re a blogger or your own a business, there will eventually come a time that you will want or need, to host a webinar or video conference call. You may want to host an online event, have virtual training sessions with your team, or have a workshop for your followers. Video conferencing is cost effective and extremely convenient… you can host a virtual meeting from anywhere – right from your smartphone.

Try services like Google Hangouts, Zoom, or GoToWebinar, to find the one that you’re most comfortable working with and get started!

Tip: If you have a Facebook Messenger Group, you can host video conferences right from Messenger!

Email marketing

We all receive them… practically every day – those pesky mass emails that usually end up in your ‘promotions’ or ‘spam’ folder. Just about all of those emails are automated using an email marketing program. It’s the only legit way to send mass emails to people that have opted-in to your email list.  While there are many email marketing services to choose from, I personally use MailerLite. It’s free as long as your email list is less than 1000 and there’s a tiered pricing program once you pass that milestone. It’s amazingly easy to use and comes with free landing pages and automation.

This is just a short list of the many systems available to assist in lighting your workload. There are many other options available to you. Be sure to seek out programs and systems that meet the individual needs of your business. The goal is to increase your productivity and lessen your workload.
